“ Decent authentic Portuguese food, at slightly expensive prices. We ordered sardines and a pork/mussels specialty, which were both very good. The waiter was friendly and took our order promptly, which we liked. The portions were decently sized and we left with a full stomach, always a positive. I also had a coffee at the end of the meal, which was better than most places. If I have one negative, it's the fact that it was a bit overpriced for the location. ”

“ Food was honestly delicious; the service all-in-all was really good, and the previous reviews about this place having bad service is just a matter of perspective - we wanted to order the Shellfish rice and Bacalhau á Bras, but the owner told us honestly that we would not be able to finish the food, so we followed his suggestion to only order the Shellfish rice. We left stuffed with delicious Portuguese food. Price is very reasonable for big portions and do not skip on the White Sangria. Owner is just slightly brash but honestly listen to the man he probably knows better than you what goes on in his kitchen xD ”
“ I can see how some of the reviews have the owner down as being abrupt, but to us it was part of the charm/experience of the place, The service was top class and food was perfect, we were a party of 11 celebrating someone’s 50th, we booked the place last minute and he said we could bring a cake in ( we could only find a basic cake and he (or chef )jazzed it up for us ) He suggested to our party we had steak or fish of the day, and when we said about starters he said he’d sort it and came lots of bits of bread , chorizo, olives cheese and much much more I had the fish which was filleted at the table, beautiful and fresh, my lad had a great big steak, said it was the best food he’d had in Portugal, so for 11 of us with wine and, beers 2 courses , port, the bill came to 330 euros, we had a great night. Will be back before we return to England for more great food great service and a touch of nonchalance ”
